Parent to Parent is excited to be moving closer to offering on-site support for families when their children are hospitalized at the VT Children's Hospital at FAHC.  VT Children's Hospital logoThis spring, we anticipate the grand opening of the Parent to Parent Resource Room on the Baird Five pediatric floor.  This room will be staffed with Family Support Coordinators for a few hours each day and will provide the same type of support and services families have come to expect from Parent to Parent at its various office locations.  We hope to eventually have trained Supporting Parents who volunteer to staff the room in the evenings and weekends.  We are accepting donated books and resources if you have any that you found helpful during your child's hospitalization.  For more information call Julie at 800-800-4005 ext 28, and check our website for updates on this project.

Respite Grant:

Parent to Parent has a grant from the Agency of Human Services for flexible respite funding through the Prevention Committee of Children and Family Council for Prevention Programs. For information or an application call Family Support at 764-5290 or 1-800-800-4005.

Parent to Parent's database is a powerful tool, which helps us connect thousands of families to each other and to resources.  Data we collect allows us evaluate our programs, identify and report trends in health care and family support, and enhance advocacy efforts at the state and national levels.  These 2003 statistics reflect the progress of and need for Parent to Parent services in more communities throughout Vermont.
