Volunteer Opportunity Kids on the Block-Vermont is looking for a puppeteer who is blind/visually impaired to perform in its program on the same topic. If interested in training for this position, please contact Adam Courville (802) 860-3349. There is a small stipend offered for this position.

FREE monthly nutritious foods for qualified individuals: pick up (from many locations) a 30 pound box of food each month that includes canned fruits and vegetables, fruit juices, cereals, and cheese. For info call the Vermont Foodbank 1-800-214-4648 for a simple pre-screening. An application will be mailed to those who qualify. For 2006: Women/Children: 1 person-$1,511 per month; 2 people-$2,035 per month.

Vermont 2-1-1 can be reached by dialing “2-1-1” from anywhere in Vermont, or by visiting www.vermont211.org.  The helpline staff is available Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm. After-hours callers may leave a message on the voicemail system and calls will be returned the next business day.
